According to Mr. Bryce:
"I have published nine volumes to date, in different genres and under different pen names. Please do not ask me about titles or pen names as some of my books are quite controversial and I prefer hiding behind these subterfuges. In my own defense, I'm medically allergic to litigation and especially sensitive to death threats.
"My interests are wide ranging, with literature - Spanish, French and English - being only one of them. Life is short. I like to travel. I'm a bit of an amateur anthropologist. I enjoy traveling on my own terms and have traveled the world in my own vehicle, free from wild-eyed terrorist rant, cranky flight attendants, and dicey flight schedules, while enjoying the co-privileges of sleeping in my own bed every night, eating my own food, and enjoying standards of sanitation to which I've become accustomed over a lifetime, no matter where I travel.
"I don't play golf. I feel especially sorry for those elderly who've had to acquiesce to doing this.
"I much prefer my Smith Corona portable typewriter. I've had it since university and it still works fine, an accolade I've so far been unable to attribute to any computer I've owned. Writing a book on a computer does offer some advantages, but staring at LED backlighting for 10 hours at a clip, combined with that mushy, soft-touch keyboard, a feel that is so foreign to manual typewriter aficionados, makes the task somewhat unpleasant - even dangerous - where otherwise it shouldn't be.
"John Grisham is a favorite author, along with consummate storytellers, J.R.R. Tolkien and JK Rawlings. I like Rafael Maluenda, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald to name a few others. I like how David Baldacci weaves a story, and how Suzanne Collins gets away with such power while powder-puffing her protagonists. Speaking of power, Dostoevsky rules my bookshelves. Too much of Stephen King's stuff is exquisitely dark; life is too short to turn out the lights before they're turned out for you. And, I wish that James Patterson would start writing his own books again - he's damned good . (Yes, I know, Mr. Patterson . . . pure hyperbole!)."

Killing Tony
Excerpts from My Diary
"Killing Tony" is based on a true story that happened to real people. The implications send a chilling message to every man, woman and child in America. No one can afford to look away because, no matter how well placed, how well educated, how healthy or wealthy, every one of us is at risk for the very same horrible end.
Marci Adams' life-long friend and now father-in-law was being systematically killed by people professing to 'Do No Harm.' Tony 'The Tiger' Salerno, in his day a world class amateur boxing champion, now healthy lifestyle advocate, sportsman, and community stalwart, was dying slowly at the hands of the very same people he trusted most -- by all appearances, a passive euthanasia, as family and friends looked on, stunned and helpless.
The realities of trial litigation after Harvard Law School has left Marci Adams with little patience for politically correct anything. During the Salerno family ordeal, she systematically dissects the mainstream medical industry, splaying it open and revealing a dark underbelly that few dare to talk about. En route to telling the Tony Salerno story, the book brushes hard against the power of empowered women, government collusion with crooked developers, and the needless destruction of millenniums old wildlife habitats by greedy private financial self interests with the full blessing of elected officials.
Based on a true story that makes us wonder about our illusion of being civilized.

What We've Learned
A Comprehensive Guide to Surviving Medical Intervention
"What We've Learned - A Comprehensive Guide to Surviving Medical Intervention" is a companion volume to "Killing Tony - Excerpts from My Diary". It is based on the hind-sight insights of Tony Salerno's surviving loved ones. The book is a clear, step-by-step what to do and what to expect guide for all incurable disease patients and their families. Tony Salerno was killed as a result of a culmination of medical errors, miscommunication, and wrong decisions by his doctors and hospitals - a now well-documented phenomenon that is happening all too often.
So that something positive might come out of this horrific experience, Thomas Salerno has collaborated with the author to produce this informational and awareness guide so that the patient is "eyes wide open" to what to expect, what to do, and how to respond. It includes a precise map of how to communicate with and what to expect from the doctors and hospitals that patients will be dealing with. Along the way, you will learn about the surprising latitude you have in owning all of the information — and options — related to your treatment, the surprising reality of what is expected of the patient, and precise options for proceeding at any given step in the remediation process. Most patients are surprised at how much control they actually do have over their own recovery. Doctors and hospitals are busy places with their own agenda. Understanding the institution's and doctor's worldview, knowing what all of your options are, and what action can be taken to ensure the best possible outcome, will be critical to avoiding the disaster that was the Tony Salerno incident.

What They’re Saying About Us
“‘Killing Tony’ . . . gritty . . . disturbing . . . real . . . it is hard not to feel bitterly cynical about the medical profession — I end up feeling that they are no better than vultures tearing at still-living bodies.”
“Impressions: [“Killing Tony, Excerpts from My Diary”] well written, powerful, funny in spots, disturbing, and relentlessly real, the author shares the layered complexity that accompanies the loss of a loved one and tells the story of a family swept up in a nightmarish labyrinth of dead ends while desperately trying to find solutions that eluded those who were supposed to know. The author makes a compelling and convincing case, using doctor and hospital records, that points directly to a common approach to cancer treatment that may very well be inciting more virulent forms of cancer. Along the way, the book takes a peek at the seamy underside of politics in Florida and the destruction of pristine wilderness areas in that state through collusion with crooked developer interests, while showcasing the power of empowered women through a certain inscrutable character named Marci Adams.
Deeply moving, witty in places and very real, the book is a glimpse of who we really are.
All in all an excellent read. Would highly recommend.”
“R. Cameron Bryce’s “Killing Tony” puts a face on all of the loved ones who have suffered the loss of someone close because of medical industry bungling.”
